Spic Macay

The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth, often known by its initials (SPIC MACAY), is a non-profit organization which promotes Indian classical music, Indian classical dance, and other aspects of Indian culture; it is also a movement with chapters in over 300 towns and cities all over the world. Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Ustad Bismillah Khan, Dagar Bandhu, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and Ustad Sitahid Parvez,Hariprasad chourasia,Birju Maharaj are some of the big names associated with it.
SPICMACAY presents Vocal recital by Prof Rita Ganguly, who is among the few musicians in the country who continues to adhere to cultivate and popularize the traditional modes of music. Her most significant contribution has come in the area of preservation of traditional Thumri, Dadra, Tappa, Hori, Chaiti and Ghazal and allied forms of music. As the torch bearer Rita successfully imbibed the aesthetics of tage.

About ADaRSH:ADaRSH an independent platform for the interaction on scientific and administrative issues related to sustainable habitats in the Indian subcontinent. It was founded jointly by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi) and MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India) along with a handful of experts in the sustainability of built environment from across the country. system (India's National Rating System), delivering lectures, workshops and others.

Dr. S.K Saha( IIT Delhi)

Dr. Subir Kumar Saha has been with IIT Delhi since 1996 and is the Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on of Mechatronics .He is also in the Consultative Council Of Robocon India 2012 and Vice-President, Association of Machines and Mechanisms (AMM), India.
He is actively engaged in teaching, research, and robotics. He established the Mechatonics Laboratory at IIT Delhi in 2001.
His text book on 'Introduction to Robotics', 'Dynamics and balancing of multi-body system', three course booklets on 'Robotics', 'ROC-BEE' have gained a wide spread recognition.

Dr. U.N Singh(NASA Larc,Chief Technologist)

Dr.Upendra Nath Singh is the Chief Technologist in the Systems Engineering Directorate at NASA Langley, He is the president and executive officer of the International Coordination-Group on Laser Atmospheric Studies (ICLAS). He is also a member of the board of directors of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE).

Dr Arup Roy Choudhury

Dr. Arup Roy Choudhury is the CMD of NTPC and a BIT alumnus. His contribution in the field of strategic management, business leadership, market etc is commendable and can serve as guidelines for students

The best way to learn something is to implement it. This Bitotsav brings to you workshops on different gripping subjects. So come and know about the subjects which you are not cognizant of. Workshops will be organized by some organizations and professionals. Some of these are:

About

Established in 1955 by visionary-industrialist Mr. B. M. Birla, BIT Mesra today is one of the most sought after engineering destinations in India located in Ranchi, the capital city of the state Jharkhand. It is a "Deemed University" under Sec. 3 of the U.G.C. Act 1956. With the main campus being almost 780 acres in size amidst lush greenery, surrounded by a river, it offers an exquisite, eco-friendly environment for students from all across the nation. BITOTSAV is the most awaited inter-college fest celebrated in BIT Mesra in the season of spring for 5 days in a row. The nights are reserved for an enormous amount of fun ensuring a break from the technical spell cast during the day where students realise their true engineering potential through the various activities in which they take part. The technical events include brainstorming sessions of coding, sudoku and robotics which compel the participants to twist their brains, along with various other events like debating, sensex related games and graffiti which test not only their talent but also allow them an amazing amount of fun. There is a night dedicated each to music, dance, drama and DJ sparing more than enough time for everyone to socialize and have the time of their lives. Every year there are mind boggling attractions in terms of the singers, dancers, bands and celebrities who turn up to entertain the crowds.
